Morning Lakesiders and is it lovely waking up to the glow of the club securing that provincial pendant yesterday. This significant feat was achieved by our Ladies Challenge Trophy team. The final played yesterday morning against New Forest was played in a great spirit. The Match itself was nip and tuck with the Blessington Ladies finally emerging with the hard fought win. There were 97 teams originally in the competition so to get the win was no mean feat. Winning matches against Rathsallagh, Craddockstown, Mount Wolseley, The K club and Beech Park progressing the club to yesterday’s marvelous win in the Final. Many thanks to Golf Ireland officials and referees for making the event run seamlessly. Well done Ladies and all involved especially the team Captains and caddies in securing the precious pendant. Now Hold the Ladder Ita we need to get it up on our Honors wall.
