Weather not the May West this weekend and club news

So Lakesiders Mrs Cusack reckons winter will hold sway over blessed 9 this weekend with frost, wind, snow, sleet and rain all mentioned as being possible and brass monkeys being mentioned as definite. Right so Serious now . Bearing in mind the poor forecast both the winter league and open singles will be 9 hole competitions. This allows for the potential frost delays. There is also a monthly 9 hole competition (front 9 for November) that can be entered so if weather conditions are ok members can play in the 9 hole monthly after they have played either the open or the winter league. The ladies hamper comp this week will also be over 9 holes. In other news and as mentioned previously the club has engaged the services of a local website design company to develop a brand new website. The sub committee tasked with progressing this project to conclusion met with the design company recently and were very impressed with the the work done to date. It is hoped that ne new site will go live before Christmas. On course work over the last week to 10 days or so concentrated on marking and painting all our out of bounds and hazards with brand new posts. Must say they look brilliant, thanks Tom and Colin great job. The club also took delivery on an additional buggy a few weeks back bringing our fleet up to 4. AGM on the 12th folks.
