Tulfarris GC won early bragging rights for 2016 when they what turned out to be quite a comfortable 4 4 2 win in today’s Garden County Match. At home Donie and Sean were beaten 2 and 1, Dermot and Vinnie drew with Brendan and Paul wining quite comfortably. Away Dave and Paul lost 2 and 1, Joe and Alan were beaten 4 and 3 with Niall and Cormac securing a hard fought half.We are now out of the hunt to reach the final but we have learned a lot and blooded some new players for Tom Bealin’s upcoming Barton Cup campaign.
Blesington Lakes next Meet Tulfarris competively in the Provincial towns with both clubs looking quite accomplished at this level. Cill Dara and Tullamore last year’s finalists will also be on many people’s radar in terms of looking where that particular trophy will rest in 2016.
