Thomas Mannion wins again

This weekend saw our members compete for three different memorial trophies. Thomas Mannion who seems to do no wrong these days having won last week with 41 points shot the same score again this weekend to capture the Maureen Doyle perpetual trophy with 3 strokes to spare. Thomas has seen his handicap reduce by 5 full shots in nearly as many days having been cut from 24 down to 19. Well done Thomas, keep up the good work.

The Gerry Anderson Trophy goes to Pat Brady (10) after his fine round of 38pts who will no doubt be delighted and honoured to win this event having been a team mate of Gerry’s way back in 2002 when Blessington Lakes (then Boystown GC) won their first club pennant in the Best Cup Trophy. Well done Pat, you can tick this one off the list!

Angela Seery (26) was the lading lady winning the Teresa Murphy shield with 33 points.

Thank you all for your support in this very important event with proceeds being donated to the Irish Cancer Society.

In other news Diarmuid McCarthy finished top of the pile in the Blue Monday Open.
