Richard Kelly blinding play means curtains for rest of June medal competitors

Club Stalwart Richard Kelly (20) played some sublime golf on Sunday morning returning a nett 68 to win the June medal. Richards back 9 being was particularly notably as he came back in 41 gross some 5 shots better than his playing handicap on the day to beat Peter Vincent (24) by one shot. Peter finished with a nett 69 to win Cl 3. Well done Peter and again fantastic to see some of our more recent recruits getting among the prizes. Cl 1 was won by Daniel Deane (10) with Daniel returning a 71 nett, good to get off the Mark Daniel, well done. Cl 2 was won by the ever improving Aidan Tyrell (14) with Aidan posting a nett 72, Mmmmm Aidan might be someone to keep an eye on in the upcoming Presidents Prize. Niall O Connor had the best gross on the day with a 79. The field was a little smaller than usual for a medal with a lot of our regulars being in interclub team action for the club over the weekend. They were only 4 2’s recorded interestingly one on each of the 4 par 3’s and those pin positions Tom you are having a giraffe.
