Results and Club news

Great to see the club taking delivery of a new Rough Mower and Buggy in the last week. The Rough Mower will be a great asset to Head Greenkeeper Tom kavanagh in keeping the rough nice and even. Results wise Eadaoin Ni Chleirigh (36) continued her great run to win the latest Ladies competition win a score of 35 pts. Rita Malone (26) was 2nd finishing with 32 pts. The Midweek Open of the 28th/29th was won by Keith Burke (19) with a fantastic score of 41 pts. Conor Steed (25) continues to be found close to the top of most leaderboards at present, Conor was just a point behind Keith on 40 pts. Nice reduction on the handicaps gents and that is what it is all about. 3rd place in the mid weeker was secured by Pat Brady (10) with a score of 37pts. Pat is a real club stalwart and ex Captain and it looks like he is finding some form as we head into the business end of the Season.

The Weekends Open Singles Charity Fundraiser Competition attracted a large field over the 2 days. Nice to see a visitor taking the honors. Gareth Nolan (13) playing out of Hermitage returned a score of 40 pts to win by one from Cormac Noone (13). Stephen Cooling (14) from Rathcore took 3rd spot on a count-back with 38 pts.
