PRESIDENT’S PRIZE WEEKEND

As dusk settles on our President’s weekend we would like to thank our President, Diarmuid McCarthy, for a very enjoyable weekend’s golf. With the course presented in excellent condition by our superintendent Tom and, his able assistant Tony, the scoring did justice to the course.
On Saturday our pay and play members enjoyed their day out with a large turnout supporting Diarmuid’s day.
Benjamin Jordan emerged victorious with a fine score of 41 points. Owen O’Reilly claimed the runners up spot with 38 points and John Barry was, once again, on the podium with 37 points.
Ross O’Duffy proved that the milkman always delivers by winning Diarmuid’s prize to full members, also with 41 points. A fine score of 39 points saw Padraig Kearney finish second while our president claimed the gross prize with a fine score of 30 points. The best lady was Ruth Downey with 38 points while others in the prizes included Neil Larrigan, Vincent Chapman, Éadaoin Ní Chleirigh, Dympna Darby, Richie Kitt, Irene Downey and John Messitt.
A big thank you to our Captain Daire who provided the refreshments and Lady Captain Ita who ably assisted him.
