Presidential and Treasured Performances

Great to see Club treasure Helen Farrell come back to winning ways. Helen in acttion last weekend returned a score of 2 up against the course to win the Ladies V Par competition, well done Helen. In 2nd spot we had Mairead Hackett, well done Mairead. In Mens action last weekend our last but one GOY counting competition took place in which Club President Tony McGinley (10)……… Viva El Presidente pulled out his best round of the season to finishing 6 up on the course. Tony’s game featured some excellent driving hardly missing a fairway all morning setting him nicely to access the greens. Tony also had one of the 2 deuces recorded on the day which nicely supplemented his competition purse. Larry McGrath (28) finished 2nd 3 up v the course. Good stuff Lar, with John Greene (29) finishing in 3rd on 2 up. John also had the other of the 2 aforementioned deuce’s, well done John, getting in the frame again i see.
