On Sunday the 28th July 2024 Blessington Lakes Golf Club, hosted a “Play in Pink Golf Event”, in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. The event chosen was a 3 Person Champagne Scramble, to include all our members, as breast cancer effects everyone
The support from all our members both male and female was overwhelming and the course was a sea of pink on the day.
Events like this cannot take place without a great team and a special thank you to Marty Maguire, Ita Hill, Daire Hanrahan and Grainne Crowe, who helped out in organising the event and ensuring everything was right on the day.
Breast cancer is a disease that has probably touched all our lives in one way or another and hopefully the money we have raised will go in some small way to help in finding a cure.

Second place went to another team from Blessington Lakes Golf Club, Dave Callaghan, Pat Reid, and Tom McGrath. They obviously didn’t live up to their name and kept it on the fairway, as they came in with a score of 91 points.
Third place went to Tony Larkin, Sean Farrell and Glen Farrell with a score of 89 points well done lads on the great score and avoiding the camera.
Longest Drive for the Men went to Glaisne McKevitt. Lisheen Springs Golf Club.
Longest Drive for Ladies went to Susan Cunningham. Blainroe Golf Club.
Nearest the Pin, the equal opportunity hole, went to Stephen Vincent. BLGC
The game of Golf Pong didn’t appeal to all. But for one man it looked like he spent the day there! His trained eye for the targets (-3 his favourite) proved too good for the rest of the field. Congratulations Paddy Brady with your winning score of -11
Thank You to everyone who participated and/or donated to this great cause. The day was a huge success because of you.
