Club stalwart Pat Brady (11) has taken a four-shot lead over Brendan Flynn and Adam Feighery in this years Captain’s Prize.
Brady carded a 6-under 66 nett on Sunday. The round included included three birdies and 9 pars (77 gross), a truly remarkable score on what proved to be perfect scoring conditions. Very little wind with warm sunshine made for favourable playing conditions.
“I just kept it in play really nicely,” Brady said. “That’s the key thing here, hitting fairways. I was driving it really well. On a course like this you can score well if you hit the fairways but if you don’t you can really struggle.”
The top 21 players will compete in next Saturday’s Final.
