News Flash……Damien Adderley 2022 Captains Prize winner

In what was one of the most competitive Captains Prizes in recent years Damien Adderley’s 23 magnificent 65 saw him pull up alongside first round Leader Brendan Flynn (10) which saw both gentlemen post 138 nett for the 36 holes. Bren again played brilliantly playing the last 7 holes in only 1 over par to pay back the house for, by Bren’s very high standards was, a mediocre start. Damien however played his last 7 holes in just 2 over par to draw level with Bren. So down the 1st the 2 lads went and some 10 minutes later on the 37th hole it was Damien who squeezed home by a shot. Great day folks and the course was truly fantastic. Thanks to our Greenkeeping staff Tom and Colin, our clubhouse staff Julie, Vivienne, Grainne and Ava. Thank you Captain Gerry Murray for a meticulously and very enjoyable organised event. In the next few weeks the club will be announcing details of a Saturday Evening “Grand Social” which we hope will comprise of an outdoor BBQ, some light refreshments, some mayhem and a number of buses in several directions when the refreshments run out.
