Neil Nabs April Medal, Harps are title contenders

Well done to Neill Larrigan on his April medal victory, Neil playing off 17 on the day returned an excellent nett 67 well below the 70 threshold this humble scribe thought comparable to harps Chances of winning the greatest league in the world. Neill had a real steady round with only two doubles on his card, its those big numbers that nearly always play havoc with stroke play rounds folks. Lowest gross of the medal was a 78 by Jamie Tutty (6) and that was the only sub 80 return over the 2 days. 12 pars and 6 bogeys some golf James. Cat 1 was won by Brendan Flynn (9) with a nett 75. Cat 2 was won by Ray Murphy (17) with a nett 73 and cat 3 was won by Paul Flynn (23) again with a nett 73. Nice start to our GOY Paul. In the open singles off the white tees we had Frank Fearn (27) tearing up the place to win with a nett 63, super stuff Frank, in 2nd spot we had Anthony Malone (20) returning a nett 70 with the 3rd podium position going to Eamonn O Neill (26) who signed for a 71. Well done to all. Fourball better ball this weekend folks will 42 pts be enough, not on your Finn Harps.
