This weeks midweek open proved to be a tale of the 2 Gerry’s with Gerry Carney (5) from the City West Resort GC finishing top of the pile with 37 pts from our own Ger Cronin (13) who posted a 32 pt return, hard lines Ger. Gerry was going really well being only 1 over par standing on the 17th tee but a subsequent scratch on the up hill par 5 scuppered the chance of returning one of the best gross scores of the year. Did we mention our excellent new full member offer Gerry?…. Quiet a small field as it was only decided to put this event on at the last minute on account of the dry spell, check in here in the next day or so as it is likely once the rain holds off that we will run another Open singles Qualifier next Tues/Weds.
