Lasr Sunday week Nick McHardy (23) followed up his good performance in the previous days Pres Prize by winning the open singles with a score of 35 pts. In 2nd spot came Said Hadjami (15) who also finished with 35 pts. The Mid week open was won by a visiting golfer from Rathdowney GC. Sean McLoughlin (27) found the blessed links to his liking as he amassed 37 pts to win by 2 from our own Niall O Conner (5) and Danny Lynch (23) who both finished on 35 with Niall just pipping Danny on the count back. This week ends Competition attracted a field of 100 players and was won By Eoin Hipwell (20) with 41 pts. Eoin was flagged here as one to watch in 16, he duly obliged by winning the year’s 1st medal and has now followed up by winning out of a large entry, Super stuff Eoin. In 2nd spot was a visiting golfer from Lutterellstown Castle GC, Aaron Ceillier (8) over came his indifferent start to play the last 15 holes in level par to finish with 40 pts. Pat Brady (10) who has being threatening a good score lately finally delivered and his 3rd spot finish also with 40 pts means that Pat is back where he belongs in the ranks of the single figures men. Remarkably Pat had 4 little budgies on his card to charge up the leader board in the 2016 birdie league. Mick Nolan (15) with 39 pts came in 4th spot and in doing so reduced his playing handicap to 13.
