Blessington Lakes won this mornings Garden County match against Lisheen Springs 3 and a half to 2 and a half. The match was played in at times atrocious conditions. Team manager Joe Donohoe’s men won 2 and a half points at home with Joe himself and Alan Doolan winning their game. Brendan Flynn and Paul Culligan also garnered a precious point with Vinnie Chapman and Diaruid McCarthy halving their game. Niall O’Connor and Cormac Noone 3 down early doors came back strongly with some impressive short game play to win a marvelous point (1 up) in the 1st match out in the away leg. Dave Cositgan and Paul O’Farrell performed heroics in their match getting back to from being 5 down to be standing all square on the 18th tee only to sadly loose the last. Jamie Tutty and Sean Farrel went down 3 and 2 in the final match. Great stuff guys this result keeps us in the mix going into the final set of fixtures.
