Joe Donohoe’s (8) remarkable vein of Form continued last weekend when emerged top of the pile (on the countback) after all the cards were fed into the putercom. Joe went around in 76 blows to amass 40 stableford pts. If Joe can continue this form into the qualifying comps in a few weeks he is gonna knock lumps off his handicap, can he be our new low man?? Michael Cullen (15) also continued his brilliant start to the year by also having a score of 40 pts with Stephen Culligan (10), Alan Doolan (7) and Danny Lynch (25) all finishing with 39pts and this is where it gets complicated, now if i can just find me domestic cuts scissors…… Here we go Joe Donohoe has 3 1 shot cuts so 37 for you, Michael Cullen has 2 1 shot cuts so 38 for you Mick, Stephen Culligan has a 2nd spot to his name but the .5 domestic cut does not affect his score (10.4 – .5 = 9.9) so still (10). Alan Doolan has a 1 shot so 38 for you Alan and Danny Lynch has no cuts so far this league so his brilliant score of 39pts stands. So in 1st spot this week is Stephen Culligan with Danny lynch 2nd…phew hope thats right. 19 birdies were prized from the course over both days with the 4th and 18th holes again being index’s 1 and 2 respectively. The league takes a break next week to allow the Captains drive in, you STILL need to put your name on the BRS system just to give us an idea of numbers for the caterer. There is also an open singles on Saturday morning and with the weather looking mild and dry this is a great opportunity for us to invite possible new members down to let them see our course.
