Getting ready for Captain’s Prize

It’s that time of year again, the one we all look forward to… Captain’s Prize 2012

It is now 6 months into the season so it’s time to celebrate on what has been a successful year so far both on and off the field. We continue to work extremely hard behind the scenes driving the club onwards and upwards. From modest beginnings we are bucking the trend in terms of membership and I am pleased to report that we are continuing to grow our great little club from the ground up. I wrote a blog post in January this year which mentioned that “2012 has an air promise about it..” little did I know then that I would be reporting on the success we have had in terms of growth in this short time, I am now the proud captain of a club which is bigger than it has ever been. The innovative marketing, hard work and belief has thankfully paid off and we will continue to strive.

We are also delighted to report that some of our teams have also enjoyed a great run of form recently with the Leinster Fourball team (Managed by Dave Callaghan) through the quarter finals of the competition while our Provincial towns team are currently preparing for a quarter final showdown with Bunclody tomorrow (Saturday 30th June)

With the above in mind it is time to celebrate so please join us in the Captain’s Prize culminating in the Captain’s Dinner on the 7th July, a night which promises as always to be a night not to be missed…

To book your place at the event you will need to contact Tom Bealin on 086 8213223, email him at Tickets are priced at €20 which will include a steak/buffet BBQ in the clubhouse and entertainment in the Bar. Please book early as the tickets are limited to 100 for insurance reasons. We will also have a bar installed on the night serving draught Guinness and Carlsberg with wine available also. As always guests are welcome to bring their own drink with them on the night.

I look forward to seeing you there on the night to celebrate our successful 2012 together!
