Well done to Gerry Murray (15) who wins this year’s Vice Captain’s Prize. Ger’s score of 39 points beat Tony McGinley (7), who is fresh off a victory in the September Medal, on a count back. The difference was just one point with Ger’s 19pts on the back nine proving the difference. Tony looked like shooting in or around level par for the round midway though the back 9 but unfortunately things faded a little towards the end dropping 4 shots on the last 4 holes to return a very respectable 76 gross. Glen Farrell (18) finished in third place with 37pts having recovered extremely well from a poor front 9 of 14 points to shoot 23pts on the back nine, helped with a run of 5 pars on the bounce.
