Dave Callaghan’s men went down 3 2 in Friday nights Duggan cup Match which was played in wind and driving rain. The lakeside men were up against it having 3 matches away. Our home pairings had mixed fortunes with Brendan Flynn and Brian Hogan wining quite well but Donie McEvoy and Cormac Noone had a serious challenge on their hands when they found them selves 3 down standing on the 1oth tee but they battled back well to win on the 18th. Our pairings away fought really well. but in the end it came down to the pairing of Tom Bealin and Vincent Chapman who were battling to take match now sitting at 2 a piece down the 19th but in the end a par on the last by Newbridge was good enough and so the Kildare men advance to the next round.
