Duggan Cup and All Ireland fourball team exit

A very disappointing weekend on the interclub front saw both the above teams crash out of their respective competitions. The Duggan cup was again was “oh so near” with Blessington Lakes losing the deciding match on the 3rd playoff hole. Special mention though to Brendan Flynn and Mick Cullen who won away from home. In the All Ireland fourball we were hammered, the less said about that the better but my hat goes off to those who pulled on the Black Jumper and did their best for the club fair play lads. it was also very dispiriting to see a number of players turning down the opportunity to represent their club at this handicap range and could potentially call into question the clubs participation in this event next year. Many thanks to all this seasons team managers, it seems to be the same people managing year in and year out, Again very disappointing to see no new managers stepping up and helping out. Best of Luck to our Barton cup lads who take on Dublin Mountain GC  next Bank Holiday Monday.
