Darragh Fagan (25) notched up the 1st medal of his golfing life at the weekend shooting a nett 71, (some of us have being playing for donkeys years and never won one, me included). Darragh played very steady and only having the one treble on his card. I really think Darragh has the potential to possibly get into single figures in the next 18 months or so. In 2nd spot came Alan Doolan (7) also shooting a 71, would not be surprised if Alan gets called into the junior cup squad at this late stage. In 3rd spot came Paul Dowd (12) with 72, Paul piped Cormac Noone (11) and Said Hadjami (14) who also finished with a 72’s, Niall O Connor (5) won the best gross with a 78, (same score as Alan Doolan). The course as always in medals played extremely tough even with only a gentle breeze. 21 birdies were recorded over the 2 days. The full results and category winners are as follows.
