Cullen boys outpoint field in Rd 4

Clive and Michael Cullen playing off 27 and 15 respectively blitzed their way around the course last weekend 30/31 Jan. Both guys had 39 pts with Clive winning on the countback. Michael managed to secure 2nd despite a half shot domestic cut from earlier in the league as Mark Williams who finished 3rd,(Mark played really well on Saturday) also had a 2 shot domestic cut . Well done guys.some really nice league points added there. Clive is quietly making a name for himself in the club playing really good golf off his handicap with it looking like it will drop significantly in the coming qualifying months,  Chrimbo hamper winner as well to boot.Michael is streaking away with Cat 2 of the birdie league with 5 to his name already. He is sure to have some phone calls in the coming weeks from Team managers looking to secure his services for various upcoming interclub competitions. Conditions were tough with Saturday being cold and windy and Sunday wet and windy, i8 birdies all the same which was excellent, all updated into the Birdie league by the way, Next week gets interesting with a lot of players having 3 good cards in already so when they have their fourth it is a question of dropping the worst card. Not to late to enter then league, still 6 rounds left for the fair weather golfers to do damage

.just to remind people that the domestic cuts regime in both the Winter and Spring Leagues is as follows.

Winners if in Handicap range 0-18  cut 1 off your handicap …………19-28 cut  2 off your handicap.

Runners up if in Handicap range 0-18   cut .5 off your handicap……19-28  cut 1 off your handicap.
