Colin Kelly “how does it feel”

One of our clubs best friends Colin Kelly (5) currently playing out of Palmerston House GC showed us how to traverse the blessed nine in winning the first of our 2017 Bank holiday Blue Monday Open Singles. Colin had a magnificent score of 39 pts. his gross score 74 was just 2 off Dermot McCarthy’s  course record of 72. Well done Colin time you came home pal.In 2nd place in as many weeks came Richard Kelly (18) with a very decent return of the back pegs of 34 pts well done Richard, Pierce Purcell call up lads??….it was a busy weekend on the old lady and a few people mentioned to me today that there was a lot of unpaired plug marks on the greens. Can we all please endeavor to repair 2 pitch marks per green each and every time we play, this will go a hell of a long way to ensuring that the clubs greens maintain their reputation as some of the finest this side of the Yukon delta…….The reference in inverted comma’s are the opening words  in NEW ORDER’S  “BLUE MONDAY” first released in 1983, one of humanity’s more creative moments.
