Charity weekend full steam ahead in the T RAIN

Evening lakesiders and what a great evening it is dark, dreary and sodden, it will change folks ….in September. So our charity weekend is upon us with stand alone competitions set for Sat, Sun and Mon respectively. On Sat and Sun we will be having an open Singles stableford competitions. The best full member return in these 2 competitions will be awarded the Maureen Doyle trophy. Prizes over the the 3 days will be vouchers for one of the main Supermarkets, you know the one where that lad Ken used to work in. They do lovely talc BTW. There will also be a prize for the best individual 9’s front and back over the Sat and Sun. Monday then we have our 3 person champagne scramble. We are also holding a what looks like a really impressive raffle so please support through buying tickets from the clubhouse staff. Some course news and over the next few weeks the ground staff will be tackling some of the overhanging trees that have become problematic over the last few years. Final arrangements around the reconstruction of the red tees and other course works are almost complete and we hope to be in a position to have the contractor on site in the Autumn. Now where is me hot water bottle and blankey.
