Last night saw approx 25 golfers out for the Captains’ Shootout – it was a lovely evening and great craic had by all. Donie McEvoy, Michael Slattery and Diarmuid McCarthy were the winners of each group and both Captains took great pleasure in setting the playoff challenges. Donie emerged as the eventual victor – well done Donie!
Willy Boland and Ita Hill were the Full Members winners of the May 9 Hole Monthly, with Philip Walsh winning the Non-Full Members prize.
On Saturday, the Men’s Captain’s Plate tee times start from 9am – please put your name down on the timesheet if you wish to play. You can still play in the Plate, even if you didn’t enter the Qualifier last weekend. The Captain’s Prize tee times start at c. 12.30pm with the final group going out at just before 2pm.
On Sunday, the Ladies will kick off proceedings at 8am and the course will be back open from 1.30pm
On each day, there will be tea/coffee and scones before going out, and a buffet meal when you are finished your round.
The prizegiving for both events will take place next month for a long awaited social event – watch this space for more details about this!
