Captains Prize weekend and News Update

Brilliant turnout here this morning at the Pay and Pay Captains prize on the blessed 9 with over 70 of our valued pay ad play members limbering up to try and tame the longest 9 holer on the island. The course staff and volunteers have the course is remarkable condition. Works on the on our Red Tees are now approaching completion. The club has taken the chance what with machinery on site to do another number of jobs around the course, tidying of the pond and surrounds on the left hand side of the 3rd, a complete re orientation of the entrances to the course itself with the installation of a new path to the left of the 1st tee and a brand new blue 10th tee box in front of the existing 1st Blue tee. The work the Captains Ita and Daire have done to date this year folks is staggering, if Carlsberg did Captain folks. Our Summer Series midweek opens seems to be very popular with members and visitors vying to get qualified for the grand Finale in September.

The club would like to encourage our pay and play members to consider talking up full membership so for those with a current Pay and Play membership the cost will be 260 euro’s which takes you to March 2025. For Pay and Play members who are now due to renew they can renew as a full member which brings you up to March 25. Folks this is a no brainer, no more green fees, come down in the evenings to play 6, 9 or as many holes as possible for no cost and just 5 euro to enter club competitions. Tomorrow Sunday 23rd sees our full members qualifier taking place, some interesting pin positions folks enjoy.
