Sunday saw our first real team competition in a long while. The Comp was a 3 person Rumble which saw 60 players competing across 20 teams. Conditions were tough with the day more akin to mid October coolish and breezy throughout. The Greens wow, class with Tom having just finished cutting them pristine like as the first team set off at 8 bells. The scoring was modest enough and with the consensus espoused being that a score in the low nineties would be required to have a sporting chance of victory. As it turned out the Old Lady folded her arms and gave very little up on the day other than two scores in the eighties. Winners with a return of 83 points were Captain Diarmuid and father and son duo Richard Kelly Senior and Richard Kelly Junior. Well done guys. In 2nd spot were Dave Callaghan, Pat Reid and Niall O Conner with 80 pts, 2nd week in a row being in the frame Dave well done. Niall also had 2 birdies. Very good feedback on this comp folks so we are going to run a similar one on bank Holiday Monday the scoring format of which will be a little different and is now detailed on the BRS Timesheet. We will have a report on Saturdays Open Singles here on the site tomorrow.
