Bogsnorkling just might be off the menu for C

The thoughts of having to Bogsnorkel in the lake at the 6th hole next January if not playing off single figs by years end has certainly concentrated Cormac Noone’s  mind recently so much so in fact that he is now playing off 9.6 after winning this weeks midweek open singles (31/5 and 1/6) with 41 pts and .2 cut for a 38pts return and 4th spot in last Saturdays open singles in Cill Dara GC  . So .2  away from being a single fig golfer, will he make it ??, gonna be tough especially after putting that much pressure on what with the bogsnorkeling promise, that degree is psychology just might be useful after all…..Cormac  (11) had a 79 gross which included an 8 on the 11th hole. In 2nd spot came John Messit with a brilliant score of 40 pts. John played very steady on this afternoon’s bright and breezy day.and may have given the Pierce Purcell manager some food for thought, well done John…....”yis know what you can do with them flippers and rowers lads” was Cormac’s retort as he drove out of the gates here at lunchtime. The course looked a picture post card today Tom Kavanagh you are a legend, thanks from all of us.
