Blesso Bugle News

Its been a number of days since we had some news from the club this is due to a body of work now taking place behind the scenes in building our new club website which we hope will go live towards the end of Oct early Nov Meanwhile out on the course some great work was done last Wednesday afternoon and evening by our course volunteer group, many thanks folks. The work consisted of some tree pruning, the tidying up of the drain to the left of the 5th and the taking down of two trees on the 3rd. The two trees in question had rendered the 3rd Medal tee unplayable so that is now useable again and rumoured to be in Play for the Scratch Cups this weekend. The foliage in front of the 15t tee has also been taken right back making the tee shot far more enjoyable. The course volunteer group is open to all folks just e mail the club with your details if you are interested and we will get you included in the Group What’s app. Some recent club results- The Fourball Better ball competition last weekend saw and excellent turnout. Ray Murphy and Ross Duffy had a fab score of 48 pts to win by 4 from Damien Adderly and Tom O Rourke. Bit of an aul teams specialist is our Ray who was part of the team that won the Rumble at the end of July. Well done Ross, off the mark now on the Blessed Nine. This weeks mid weeker results were as follows.

Division 1 Winner
Ger Cronin €30.00 Credited to purse
Division 2 Winner
Mary Cullen €30.00 Credited to purse
No winner of TWO’s Pot. Well done Ger, is that the 2nd midweek win in recent weeks? Another Result of note was Mick Slattery (23) winning the open singles of Aug 28th and 29th. Mick also had the only 2 recorded by the twos club that weekend and had to get a 2nd competition purse opened to fit all the Nelson Eddies in. Well done Mick. Some slots for the Scratch Cups are available early and late tomorrow folks, that 3rd hole is gonna be interesting. Just to remind folks that all competition prize winners are now noted at the end of each Individual Masterscoreboard Competition.
