In only our 2nd appearance in this prestigious competition first played for in 1900 BLGC raised numerous eyebrows when they qualified for the semi finals in today’s Castlewarden GC sectional Qualifier. This against some well established and routinely successful clubs at this level including Beechpark, Slade Valley, Naas etc. The qualifiers were (best 4 gross scores from 5) Craddockstown 313, Newlands 316, BLESSINGTON LAKES 316 and Hermitage 318. Our 5 heroes are Niall O Connor, Brendan Flynn, Conor Fallon, Paul Culligan and Diarmuid Mc Carthy. We are drawn against Newlands back at Castlewarden next Sunday 22nd May at 8 40 am. A bIg slap on the back for the lads team manager Joe Donohoe who as always prepares and motivates his teams to play out of their skins. Well done boys you have done us and Joe proud.
