Round 3 of the Mens Joe McKeever Spring league proved to be slog folks. The recent dry Weather tempted us back on to all of the tee boxes with many of the white Markers being placed well back, mmmm interclub team managers looking at potential panellists. Twas a funny cold as well not to baltic to have the Johnny 40 coats look but cold enough to know that you were cold. Enough blathering. So we had a trio of 36’s with Pat Nolan (15) holding off Joe O Toole (16) for 2nd and Tony Hanlon (20) for 3rd. Good scores considering the Course was set up as if it was the January Medal. Great to see the bunkers looking so well and the fairway disk markers given a fresh coat of Dulux fair play Tom and Colin. In the open singes we had a visitor from Druids Heath GC, Terry Tiernan (20) taking the Cat 1 prize with a return of 39 pts. In Cat 2 we had our own Mark Doyle win returning a brilliant score of 44 pts, well done Mark. So after 3 rounds of the Spring League we have Derek Brogan out front on 40 pts, in 2nd we have Aido Tyrell on 37 with Sean Farrell and Pat Nolan in joint 3rd on 35 pts.
