Gale force gusty winds made conditions testing to say the least on Saturday morning. That 2 pt per hole target a lot of us have in mind when teeing up was a tall ask in fairness yesterday. In the end Bernard Fitzpatrick (13) came closest in returning the winning score of 34 pts. Bernard got off to a good start paring 5 of his first 7 holes, exceptional when you have the wind straight into you on 1 and 2. Bernard had a average enough set of holes in the middle of his round but a birdie on 16 contributed handsomely to the 9 points he garnered on his last 3 holes. Beryl Dunne (21) playing out of Bray GC came 2nd on 33 pts well done Beryl hoped you enjoyed your mornings golf. Good to see one of our new members Fred Smith (21) competing near the top of his first Competition on the blessed 9.
