25 Years 1998 to 2023

A good turnout braved a bad morning to attend the clubs 2nd agm since taking over the running of the course. The meeting got underway with the minutes of last years being read into the record. Captains Noel and Martina signed off on their years in office with heartfelt thanks to the many that supported them in their work throughout the year. Members were provided with a detailed set of financial figures that auger well for the coming season. Members were also updated around the new handicapping system due to come into place in November of next year, applications for the 2021 handicap sec are being accepted a year early folks, seriously it will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming years. Course developments, plans and aspirations were meticulously outlined by Nick Mc Hardy. President Tony also spoke about how the club had been successful in its application for Capital grant funding and having our clubhouse rates valuation reclassified to a considerably lower figure.

Our incoming Captains for 2020, Mariead and Diarmuid then spoke about how strong the clubs foundations and structures are currently, how the club is your club and every contribution in keeping the club moving forward no matter how small is important.

Prizes were presented and the gallop out in to a wild west wickow morn began, well the slow reluctant walk out to the veranda. God bless the blessed 9.
