Gar Nolan (14) won Round 5 of our Spring League last weekend in some style. Gar put together one of the best rounds we are likely to see this year in returning a score of 44 pts. Gar shot a 78 gross in cool blustery conditions birdieing the last hole just to make sure that be broke that magical 😯 80 barrier that lots of us aspire to. Brilliant Score Gar and done with PB in your Billie Joe Spear all the way round, no mean feat. In second spot we had Joe O Toole (16) returning a score of 39 pts, most of the time Joe. Great to see Joe scoring well and he is sure to feature in a number of our Interclub panels this year. 2nd in the league now Joe, In 3rd we had Paul Flynn (23) again great to see Paul on the rostrum, looks like the practice is paying off Paul well done. I see Sean Farrell has now taken up as the front runner in the Spring league with a score of 61 pts. Mister consistency is our Sean and he is going to taking some hunting down. As mentioned prior Joe O Toole has now moved into 2nd place on 49 pts with Ger Murray a point further back on 48 pts. While Sean has a commanding lead all of the next chasing 6 or 7 have one low score to drop. Sean has to place 6th or better to improve his score. This has the makings of a very interesting few weeks.
Also worthy of a mention and a photo was Mick Slattery getting an eagle on the 17th last weekend, with Paul Flynn getting a birdie on the same hole. And Larry just loves the limelight so he insisted on being in the photo too!
