Blessington Lakes Golf Club

25 Years 1998 to 2023

2022 Captains Aisling and Ger say Hello

We are honoured and delighted to be elected as Captains of Blessington Lakes Golf Club for 2022 and we appreciate all of your good wishes and support for the coming year.
2021, like 2020, proved to be a most challenging year both on and off the golf course. We were all united with the challenges such as loss, isolation and uncertainty. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all of our members for their overwhelming kindness and understanding. In particular, we wish to acknowledge the amazing resilience of the committee and the staff for guiding us in the best possible way. Hopefully life and golf will return to some normality in 2022 so we can all enjoy the experience of being members of this fine club.
Diarmuid and Mairead have left us with big boots to fill. Their unselfish dedication and commitment to the club over the past two years (and many more) has been outstanding. They have put the club on a very strong foothold for which we are extremely grateful.
Our committees and sub committees are in place to ensure the smooth running of the Club and your continued cooperation with them is greatly appreciated. Our new website is really taking shape and is a result of the hard work that has been put together by the clubhouse staff and the committee. Communication is a key factor for all of the members so please take the time to look in on our new website for all of the weekly updates.
The golf course at the “Blessed Nine” goes from strength to strength as the Club continues its policy of consistently striving for improvements. The Greenkeeping staff in conjunction with the group of volunteers are relentless in their efforts in this area. The condition of the golf course, the clubhouse and the clubhouse grounds are testament of their relentless work.
Blessington Lakes Golf Club is famous for its Cead Mile Failte. The atmosphere in and around the Club is generated by the staff and the members that proudly invest in this priceless commodity of friendship. We are all in this together and together we are stronger.
We extend a warm welcome to all the Pay & Pay members, the Ladies Get into Golf group and all visitors to the Club. Hopefully we can get to meet up with you in the coming months and build on the existing relationships that have been the cornerstone of the Club. The Club provides a wide range of Membership options and we ask members to encourage friends, family and colleagues to come and enjoy what we have to offer.
Throughout the coming year we intend to introduce some new additions to the competition formats which we hope will add to the enjoyment, create some fun and add to the social interaction.
We would also like to wish all the club teams and selectors the very best of luck for 2022 and if you have the opportunity please come out and give them your support.
Finally, we hope that 2022 will bring you, the Members, a most enjoyable year both on and off the course. We are really looking forward to the challenge and we intend to serve the club in best possible way.
Yours in Golf
Aisling & Ger
