Well it was just his own actually. Mark Williams won last weekends competition with a whopping 41 pts. Playing off 22 on the day the backbone of Marks excellent score was a back nine that included 5 pars. In 2nd spot came John Lysaght who playing of 30 on the day returned 40 points. Well done gents. This Competition was reduced to one day due to the course becoming saturated on Sunday. Entrants on Sunday will have the competition purses re credited with their competition fee. Monday June 14th at 4pm sees the blessed nine teeing it up in their first interclub comp of 21 when they take on Castlewarden GC. This is an over 50’s competition played in a foursomes format. We were thinking of bringing over Phil as a banger but to no avail as he says he has to clean his Sunglasses that day. Anyway we have a lot of good aul lads so we should be able to get a run….sorry trot in this. The nine have 3 at home.

This weekend sees our first use of the blue tees when we will be having a stroke play qualifier for Full Members and a stableford qualifier for Pay and Plays. Full members can play either competition on either day of the weekend. Pay and Play members really should consider upgrading folks, you will be eligible for Interclub, POY comps and never have to pay a green fee. You can also get the remaining part of your Pay and Play membership discounted off the 55o euro new full member rate.
