Sunday 24th June we will have our Captains Prize Qualifying Round. The time sheet is live and you can put your name down by using the online booking system.
Please note for any player who has exceptional circumstances which prevent him from playing in the Sunday qualfier on the Sunday there is a limited number of tee times available on Saturday. To avail of a Saturday tee time for the qualifier a request must be made first by phoning Tony McGinley on 087 7535735. Once a request is made a tee time may be granted after consideration by the Captain.
The top 30 players will qualify for the Captain’s Final on Saturday the 30th June with the leading players going out in reverse order from 12.30pm, with the leaders going out at approximately 2.00pm.
After the Golf on the 30th June at 7.30pm we will be having a meal in the club house. The Prize Giving will follow the meal and then we will finish the night off with entertainment till late. Tickets are priced at €30 per person.
The course will be closed from midday on Friday 22nd June so it can be set up for the competition. Anyone who is participating in the captain’s qualifier on the Sunday is asked not to practice the course on the Saturday.
Sunday 24th June
Captains Qualifier 18 hole stroke from blue markers. Entry Fee is €15 which will cover both days. The twos club will only run on the day of the qualifier. The top 30 players will qualify for the 18 hole final on Saturday the 30th June. The top 3 gross will also qualify regardless of the nett finish. For those who don’t qualify they can enter the Captain’s Plate on the morning of the final between 8:00am-9:00am. To be eligible to win Captain’s Prize you must have either returned 3 singles cards in Blessington Lakes in 2018. As agreed at our AGM 2009 Juveniles are only eligible to participate in the Men’s Captain’s Prize providing they have achieved a GUI handicap of 18 or lower. If juveniles have not they may participate by playing off 18 on the day.

|1.30pm-2.00pm||Captain’s Prize Final played over 18 holes Stroke from the blue markers, in the event of a tie the players tied at the top will play a sudden death play-off commencing on the 1st hole, the player lowest nett score on the hole will be eliminated until there is one winner.|
