The Springs Series is a fourball matchplay event that will run every Sunday through the month of February and will commence on the 7th February. This event will run in tandem with the usual Sunday morning competition so you will be able to play both. If you are interested in taking part put your name down on the sheet on the notice board in the club house. The draw for partners will take place on Saturday the 30th Jan so get your name down quick.
The following rules will apply:
- First 32 entrants accepted (If demand is high further entries may be accepted)
- The lowest handicap player gives strokes to the other three players based on three quarters of the difference between the lowest handicap and that of each player.
- €10 entry to league plus normal entry to Sunday morning comp
- Teams of 2 to be drawn on Saturday 30th Jan.
- Each team will go into a group of four therefore each team is guaranteed 3 games. 2 points for a win 1 point for a draw
- First Match to be played on 7th Feb
- Should your partner not be available on any given Sunday you may compete on your own.
- If neither partner is available on any given Sunday you will forfeit the match and the points will be awarded to your opponent
- Top team from each group to qualify for semi finals
- Semi Finals will be played on Sunday 28th February
- Final to be played 14th March
